DATA SCIENTIST

Join a Data Science team at one of the world's top tech companies that is working on cutting edge platforms processing massive quantities of data. In this role you will be responsible for building data models and performing analytics on a workforce management solution. You will need to use your deep knowledge of data modeling and analytical methods to create business insights from ambiguous and disparate data sets.

DATA SCIENTIST REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist
  • Deep knowledge of data modeling and statistical analysis, including the use of
    • Python
    • R
    • SAS
  • Strong experience pulling data from various sources using:
    • SQL
    • HiveQL
    • Spark
  • Experience working with Hadoop-Hive, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases
  • Must have experience presenting conclusions and making recommendations to senior executives. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience applying regression, data classification, Bayesian inference, and reduction methods
  • Experience building Tableau dashboards from scratch
  • Relevant Bachelor's/Master's degree

DATA SCIENTIST REQUIREMENTS:

  • Support analytics team in the development of data modeling platforms for analyzing workforce management solutions
  • Design and develop highly polished and functional Tableau dashboards to support analytic constructs
  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc analyses, data mining and predictive analytics to provide leadership with actionable insights for forecast work.
  • Able to work effectively on sometimes ambiguous data and constructs within a fast-changing environment, tight deadlines and priority changes
  • Apply analytical methods: regression (preferably mixed models and logistic regression), data classification and reduction (e.g. cluster, factor, principle components, decision trees), Bayesian inference or other advanced machine learning techniques.
