Job Description

INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER - CARLSBAD, CA

The Select Group's global, enterprise client is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to work onsite in its Carlsbad, CA location! The company is a Clinical Research Organization with a large-scale infrastructure. The ideal candidate for this role will be one with strong experience in virtualization using VMWare products, with the ability to implement and complete migrations for VMWare solutions. INFRASTURCUTRE ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Configure and deploy new solutions for virtualized server and storage environment

  • Deploy and support the cloud platform (i.e. IaaS, PaaS)

  • Act as SME for operations and administrative teams

  • Work in a large-scale environment with over 20 hosts, and 300-400 virtual machines

INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Several years' experience implementing/deploying/migrating VMWare products, such as vSphere, vCenter, Hypervisor, eSXi, etc.

  • Experience with SAN administration

  • Basic networking knowledge

  • Experience with Azure or AWS a plus

  • Citrix experience a plus

  • Experience with HP servers a huge plus
