Job Description

QUALITY ENGINEER

The Select Group is seeking a Quality Engineer for one of our top clients in the Raleigh, NC area. This is an incredible opportunity to work with a leading provider in the robotics industry. QUALITY ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline (except software) from an accredited institution, preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a quality role in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong focus on data analysis, problem solving, and continuous improvement - product and process improvements

  • Working knowledge of ISO9001 standards

  • Working knowledge of 8D problem solving methodology (or similar such as A3, Fishbone, 5Y, etc.)

  • Proven ability to work independently with high organizational and project management skills

QUALITY ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Address customer and internal quality issues through sound problem solving techniques (8D, A3, etc.) and corrective action

  • Recommend action for improvement based on quality risk assessment products and processes

  • Collaborate with the design group to provide input for preventing potential quality risk

  • Create quality plans for new product introductions

  • Track and analyze incoming, in-process and final inspection data trends in order to facilitate Lean Manufacturing initiatives such as Kaizen events and defect reduction efforts

  • Asses and recommended quality equipment to meet current and future needs

  • Assist in assuring compliance to regulatory requirements (CE, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, etc.) and to ISO9001 standards
