SENIOR PRINCIPAL FIRMWARE ENGINEER - SAN JOSE, CA

The Select Group is currently seeking a Senior Principal Firmware Engineer for one of our clients located in San Jose, California! The ideal candidate will have a subject matter expert level of understanding of firmware. This individual will be responsible for leading the firmware development team, and will have day to day responsibilities including programming, networking, and development.

SENIOR PRINCIPAL FIRMWARE ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Leading the development of a diverse set of products that are integrated as part of a larger system
* Working closely with and communicating with the Software, Product Management, and Operations Teams
* Guiding the evolution of the Firmware stack to evolve the performance and functionality of the network
* Mentoring, guiding, and assisting other individuals within the team

SENIOR PRINCIPAL FIRMWARE ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:
* 8 years minimum firmware engineering industry experience - will act as a SME on the team. This will include integration and architecture
* Expertise in C programming language
* Networking expertise - IPv6, security protocols, wireless mesh networking, etc.
* Strong radio frequency knowledge
* Strong with Linux - (which is the base scripting language or this group)
* Work effectively in a cross-team environment
