Job Description


One of our top clients is currently seeking a SQL Server DBA to support the Army in either Herndon, VA or Crystal City, VA with FIVE years left on the contract. Please let me know if you are interested in this long-term opportunity because this is an IMMEDIATE need and will set up interviews right away.


  • Active Secret clearance w/ SSBI
  • Active Security+ CE certification
  • Active computing environment certification (ex: ITIL, CCNA, MSCE, MCP, etc)
  • 6+ years working as a SQL DBA
  • Experience with SQL server 2008 & 2012 databases
  • Experience hardening databases per DISA STIGs
  • Experience with server tuning & optimization
  • Ability to write/tune dynamic SQL & complex stored procedures
  • Knowledge of database security in a SQL server environment
  • Experience with backup & recovery strategy planning & implementation

  • Install, configure & maintain SQL server 2008 & 2012
  • Responsible for server tuning & optimization, write/tune complex stored procedures, support database upgrades, deployments & patch releases
  • Create databases & load data
  • Backup & recovery strategy planning & implementation
  • Harden databases per DISA STIGs
