Job Description

SR. BIG DATA ENGINEER - GREATER BOSTON AREA (01850)
A global leader, recognized for providing innovative and scalable financial and investment solutions, is looking for a Big Data engineer to build next-generation data platform on AWS. This candidate will split their time between two offices; working in Boston 2 days p/week and Merrimack, NH 3 days p/week. Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

SR. BIG DATA ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong experience building data pipelines and scalable data models using a variety of the following Big Data tools; Glue, Sqoop, Scala, Kafka, Hive, etc. in AWS.
  • Solid experience building data ingestion pipelines using AWS technologies (Amazon EMR, Spark, Redshift, Lambda, etc.).
  • Java, Scala and/or Python development experience.

SR. BIG DATA ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Have a direct, hands-on impact from day one on designing and developing a next-generation data platform in AWS.
  • Build data pipelines to ingest real-time data coming from multiple sources to create an innovative, scalable and robust data platform on AWS.
  • Create data platforms that will transform raw data into meaningful and useful information and transition data stores to AWS.
