Job Description

TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST:

Looking for a Technical Business Analyst in Charlotte, NC that is LOCAL to the area for one of The Select Groups' top energy resources companies. The Business Analyst will be responsible for fielding new requirements, and gathering user stories from customer contact center, those are the users they will be dealing with (not external customers). This team does 16 week sprints so Agile experience is key, as well as loading user stories into JIRA. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON A W2 BASIS WITHOUT SPONSORSHIP.

TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST REQUIREMENTS:

  • 6-9 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst
  • Extensive experience working in an Agile environment
    • Ability to collaborate heavily with other team members including: UX Designers, Product Owners
  • Experience loading user stories into JIRA

PLUS SKILLS:

  • Ability to write their own test scripts (test scripts will be stored in HP Quality Center)

TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews and analyzes information, forecasts, methods, schedules, systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Determines most useful business solutions for the company.
  • Works closely with senior managers to identify and solve a variety of computer-based business system problems.
  • Analyzes requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing business systems.
  • Solicits from management symptoms of problem, formally defines the problem, breaks problem into component parts, and gathers information about each of these parts from a variety of sources.
  • Writes description of business needs, business program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer-based business systems.
  • Reviews computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
