WIFI DESIGN ENGINEER - DURHAM, NC
The Select Group's client is looking for a WIFI DESIGN ENGINEER in Durham, NC! This network engineer will get to work on large scale Radio Frequency (RF) environments. The ideal candidate is one with heavy wireless experience that is eager to learn and grow within a large telecommunications company.

WIFI DESIGN ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of 802.11 Wireless Standardsand Wireless Access Points (APs)
  • Experience with Cisco and Juniper Products
  • Good Communication and Soft Skills
  • Experience with LAN switching architecture including design and implementation
  • Knowledge in packet-based protocols as well as routing protocols (OSPF, BGP4)


WIFI DESIGN ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design networks to meet requirements defined by the customers for their wireless networks
  • Analyze building construction and RF environments to understand limitations and create design proposals
  • Gather and translate customer requirements into Wi-Fi design and leverage the available solutions for multiple initiatives
  • Conduct site surveys to determine the environment and how to best create a solution
  • Troubleshoot any network/Wi-Fi issues in lab environment
